In Pembrokeshire, M.Smithson LTD took a former school building from standing structure to a foundation-ready platform for its modular replacement: full demolition, slab breakout and muck-away, then concrete pad foundations, new drainage and water supply, and service ducting runs.
Working within a live school environment — play areas and buildings in use nearby — the demolition had to come down clean and the site cleared fast, with rubble processed and carted by grab lorry before groundworks could start between the school's boundaries.
Inside a fortnight the old building was down, the site cleared and pad foundations laid out across a prepared platform — drainage and ducting in and ready for the modular building to land. Works continuing through August 2026.
