Some brilliant news: M.Smithson LTD has been shortlisted for the Champion of Construction Award at the Considerate Constructors Scheme Grand Gala Awards 2026, with the entry made in the name of our founder, Max Smithson.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is the industry body that raises standards across UK construction, and its Grand Gala Awards recognise exceptional companies and individuals for their achievements, leadership and contribution to the industry. To see the business named amongst that company is a proud moment for the whole team.
The recognition reflects the way the company works day in, day out — from school groundworks in Kent, Cambridge and Somerset to demolition and crushing in Hertfordshire, modular building support in West Yorkshire and the Midlands, and everything our crews deliver from our Burnley, Lancashire base to sites across the UK.
It also follows our Excellent-rated Considerate Constructors visit at Ayr Craigie Gardens, where the site scored 15/15 for community and 14/15 for both environment and workforce.
A huge thank you to our clients and every one of the lads on site — this one belongs to all of them. Fingers crossed for November.
